Laduree, patisserie

The tearoom of the parisian Laduree in London, inside Harrods on the ground floor with view on Hans road.

Many times I have written about the macarons of Laduree, and here it is the same case. As a cafe-restaurant you can take your breakfast, eat lunch (34 pounds for 2 or 38.5pounds for 3courses) or take your afternoon tea (27.50 pounds) . There is a full a la carte menu too.

We went a few weeks before Christmas.

Cafe Viennois

Christmas limited macarons (1.90 pounds each)

Selection of three viennoiseries, croissant and pain au chocolat (3.00 pounds)

Saint-Honore rose framboise,
puff pastry, choux pastry, light rose pasty cream, raspberry compote, fresh raspberries and rose water Chantilly cream. (6.40 pounds)
Fairly good with intense rose flavor, but not as expected. The puff pastry was a bit soggy, and the Chantilly too much in quantity.

Would I recommend it? Yes and No. Nothing  really wrong with it, but it is miles away from what it is in Paris. As for the lunch menu, it is more expensive than most of the 1 or 2 michelin starred restaurants in London. Why would you choose this instead of the Dinner by Heston Blumenthal or The Greenhouse and so on.
